Come to Pouch Cove for your 2012 East Coast Trail Tely Hike adventure.

We are very excited that the Town of Pouch Cove is hosting the 2012 East Coast Trail Tely Hike. Together with the town, we will officially open the Biscan Cove Path, the newest path that connects Pouch Cove to the East Coast Trail. It is the perfect way to celebrate International Trails Day. The new Biscan Cove Path (completed 2011) and the Stiles Cove Path (completed 2009), give residents and visitors to the town the perfect place to adventure outdoors and along the coast. The 2012 ECT Tely Hikes offers hikes on both of these incredibly scenic coastal paths.

Essential Event Details

• Date: Saturday, June 2nd, 2012
• Location: Town of Pouch Cove
• Hike Registration (8:00am - 12:00 noon): takes place at the Cape St. Francis Elementary School located on Satellite Road
• Official Ceremony (2:30 - 4:30pm): Anglican Church Hall
• $40 Minimum donation: We ask all participants to raise/donate a minimum of $40 per person. Please note that participants under 16 years of age are encouraged but not required to raise the minimum donation and must also be accompanied by an adult.
• Tax deductible: The $40 registration fee is considered a donation; all donations over $10 are eligible for a tax receipt.
• Traffic & Parking Advisory: on event day all hikers must park their vehicles at the Cape St. Francis Elementary School parking lot. Regular shuttle buses will take hikers to the trailheads and return you to your vehicle later in the day. Please do not park on Satellite Road.

How to find Pouch Cove

The Town of Pouch Cove is located on the northern tip of Northeast Avalon Peninsula along Route 20 and is just a 20 minute drive from St. John's.
