Great site! My trip to Newfoundland was fantastic a few years back. Loved the icebergs! I hope to hike the ECT more in the future!

This past weekend myself and a couple of friends hiked the sugarloaf trail. It was my first hike on the East Coast trail, I had been on some of the trail before but not to hike from one point to another. I have to say the trail is beautiful and we had a wonderful time. Cannot wait to do some more hiking on the East Coast trail and check out some more beautiful newfoundland scenery! Kudos to all who have helped develop the trail and those who continue to help and maintain the trail!!

I recently had the best experience of my life at the East Coast Trail. The views are spectacular, everything from the Spout to the enormous ice bergs. I will be returning soon.

I am from St. Johns and left Newfoundland in 1984.I live in St. Lazare,a town just outside Montreal.I am a member of the Applachian Mountain Club.I hike primarily in the White Mountains of New Hampshire(hiked Mt. Washington on my 50th birthday) and the Green Mountains of Vermont.I have hiked extensively in Quebec.I look forward to doing a section of the East Coast Trail on a return visit to Newfoundland with my buddy and Director of the Association,Phil McCarthy!
